Creating Space: Supporting UAlberta Indigenous Students’ Participation in International Experiences

The University of Alberta has identified increasing the participation of Indigenous students in international learning opportunities as a priority. This new project builds upon the foundation created by the Outbound Student Mobility Pilot Program and strives to remove the barriers identified to studying abroad, while also creating new and innovative ways to provide the support Indigenous students need for successful and meaningful international experiences. Supports will also assist students in enhancing global skills and applying these to advance career goals. The project will help to build a collaborative community on (and off) campus who recognize the importance of education abroad.
