Employability, Engagement and Experience (3E): Preparing our students for the future

Four units at the University of Victoria dedicated to cooperative education, Asia-Pacific initiatives, Indigenous research and community-led engagement, and development studies have come together to offer innovative student mobility opportunities in the Global South. We do so by leveraging established partnerships and years of wrap-around programming in Asia and Africa to provide 64 students (90% target populations) with inclusive, equitable and accessible experiences. Our project integrates short-, medium- and long-term options (field schools, internships and co-ops) to attract the broadest range of students. Students will increase their employability by gaining problem-solving skills, developing intercultural competencies and expanding their professional networks.
