This project piloted the GLOBAL COMMUNITY CHALLENGE YYC an 8-week competition that creates opportunities for students to work in all-virtual teams to identify solutions to real world issues faced by local organizations in Calgary with global reach. The virtual format increases accessibility: zero-fees, zero-travel, enabling students from international partner universities to work together with UCalgary students on multinational, interdisciplinary teams.
