Global Competency Mobility Bursary Program

The Global Competency Mobility Bursary Program (GCMBP) will increase all student uptake of study abroad through a targeted bursary program that leverages the new college-wide Global Competency Certificate (GCC), existing funding for mobility, existing outbound international partnerships (24), annual short-term programs (8-10), and our recent work funded by ESDC Canadian Student Mobility Pilot Program focused on increasing equity, diversity, and inclusion in study abroad at Douglas. For under-represented students, the GCMBP will bring the cost of mobility to levels equal to domestic tuition or lower, while the GCC serves to provide all students the opportunity for official global competency recognition.
