Global Indigenous Connections

Global Indigenous Connections is a multifaceted program aimed at connecting Indigenous and non-Indigenous University of British Columbia students with Indigenous students, faculty and community members in other areas of the world. The objectives of the program are to provide students with virtual and in-person learning opportunities to develop a stronger understanding of the Indigenous lands on which they live and learn, and to begin to understand the Indigenous context around the globe. Working with Indigenous youth in Canada, UBC students will focus their research on a key theme impacting their local communities (e.g. land sovereignty, language revitalization, political identities).
