Guided short-term outbound mobility projects as gateways to a semester abroad

Thompson Rivers University builds on the success of the initial TRU/GSO-funded project: ‘Guided short-term outbound mobility experiences as gateways to a semester abroad’. ‘Part II – Reviving TRU International Field Schools’ focuses on supporting existing field schools and encouraging the production of new ones. Participating in a short, academic international field school increases students comfort level and prepare them for a semester abroad.  Emphasis is placed on recruiting disadvantaged students who do not typically study abroad. Programming for this outbound experience is co-created with international partners in non-traditional study abroad destinations.
