Increasing Global Experiences for Students in Northern Ontario

This project will provide a variety of virtual and in-person experiences for students in Northern Ontario who are interested in studying or working around the world. The opportunities will enhance their knowledge and understanding of inter-cultural competency through academic studies, research and project work and work integrated learning including placements. Students in the target groups will receive support to participate in unique experiences that will enhance their ability to network and to see all the possibilities that are available to them as life long learners and as citizens of the world.

The program has equipped a new generation of students, from all backgrounds, with global skills necessary to meet Canada’s ever evolving labour market needs. It is now time to make the program a permanent part of Canada’s skills strategy and approach to international education.
