In winter 2021, students from the Business Information Technology Program at RRC in Winnipeg worked on a virtual industry project with students in Computer Engineering from the Federal Institute of Ceara (IFCE) in Brazil. The goal was for the students to gain IT experience in an international context and to further develop their cross-cultural communication skills. In the future, the plan is to send 5-10 students from RRC to IFCE in Brazil to participate in an IT summer program, and to receive 5-10 students from IFCE for an IT summer. The winter 2021 virtual exchange helped foster the relationship.
