International Mobility Supporting Indigenous Entrepreneurs – (IMSIENT)

I’M SIENT (“International Mobility Supporting Indigenous Entrepreneurs”) will provide Sault College’s Indigenous Students and Faculty an outbound international opportunity to i) enhance technical and analytical skills in partnership with Universidad Polytechnic Yucatan (UPY), ii) apply knowledge in a practical “real life” ecosystem with UPY Indigenous Students and Indigenous Entrepreneurs in Yucatan region, iii) share Indigenous Culture with UPY Indigenous Students’ homestay families, and iv) learn about Yucatan Indigenous cultures. It will consist of weekly online meetings with UPY counterparts for 3 months prior to departure to Yucatan, 2 weeks of high-intensity programming in Yucatan, and post-abroad debriefing sessions upon return.
