RDC Abroad – Experiential Learning in International Settings

This project creates opportunities for Red Deer Polytechnic learners within the Practical Nursing Diploma and the Bachelor of Sciences, Biology programs to engage in transformative experiential learning in international settings. Through these outbound experiences, participants develop a sense of global citizenship, social responsibility, and intercultural competence. In the Practical Nursing program, participants complete their final 8-week clinical in an international setting. In the Bachelor of Sciences, Biology program participants earn an Applied Study credit by volunteering on a turtle conservation project with The Rescue Center for Endangered Marine Species (CREMA) in Costa Rica.
