Risky Business: Developing Safe Post-Secondary Travel Cultures that Target Students

This project delivers the information, resources, and training required for consortium institutions to develop cultures that value and practice safe, informed, and inclusive student mobility. It promises to greatly increase risk management acumen of GSO students, ensuring their safety while abroad and enhancing their employability.

Developed in partnership with a respected and experienced private consultant, the project includes a risk management self-assessment tool specific to public post-secondary institutions; reports that identify gaps in partners’ risk management policies, processes, resources, and personnel; and recommendations for institutions to guide risk management growth, including resources and training programs for students.
