Storytelling for Social Change

This project equips participants to be community changemakers through social impact storytelling drawn from their global learning experiences and rooted in their lived narratives of sustainability + equity, diversity and inclusion. Storytelling is a powerful tool for understanding who we are and inspiring action and social change, but there is inherent risk in creating or preserving stereotypes through a single story. Centred in Indigenous storytelling practices, participants will learn to practice ethical approaches to storytelling before, during and after their study and work experiences abroad. The project strengthens skills such as communication, creativity, digital literacy, and social engagement.
