Kw’seltktnéws, TRU Indigenous Culture and Knowledge Makers Exchange Program

Building on Indigenous Cultural Education Exchange program successes and implementing outcomes of Thompson River University’s Indigenous Innovation GSO project, Kw’seltktnéws expands physical and virtual exchange opportunities for Indigenous students at TRU. The project focuses on increasing Indigenous student’s participation in mobility by reducing two critical barriers: cost and the need for wraparound supports. The program encourages students to connect with their own culture and Indigenous students around the world, bring their culture into academia, encourage the creation of additional Indigenous mobility programs in new regions, expand virtual participation in the International Knowledge Makers, and new partnership development.
