Building on the key findings and recommendations of CICan’s Innovation Fund Report (2020-2021), the goal of this project is to develop a culturally appropriate and digitally innovative virtual learning and mobility experience for Indigenous students to use as a case study in understanding the efficacy of the experiences in reducing barriers, increasing cultural competence, digital literacy, and engagement for future outbound mobility experiences.
The project consists of three major aspects: (1) research on Indigenous student mobility; (2) development of globalization credit course; and (3) development and execution of a virtual mobility experience for Indigenous student using Virtual Reality (VR).
