Using student exchange opportunities to build twin-city post-industrial revitalization efforts in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and the city of Walbrzych, Poland

Cape Breton University seeks to deepen the ties to the Cape Breton Regional Municipality’s (CBRM) Partner City, Walbrzych, Poland, by taking advantage of our student exchange agreement with the Angelus Silesius University of Applied Sciences and sending CBU students on summer exchanges to Walbrzych. Students will progress their academic program in Political Science/Public Administration at CBU, gain valuable intercultural experience through programming and experiential learning, and return as champions of the partner city project between CBRM and Walbrzych complete with a deeper understanding of the administrative tools and responsibilities required to successfully transition to a post-industrial economy.
